Wind-carved ridges of sand form a natural boundary where textured ripples meet a smooth, untouched surface. The patterns, shaped grain by grain, reveal the constant movement of the Namibian desert as wind reshapes the landscape over time. Early morning light grazes the surface, emphasising the sculptural quality of the dunes and the intricate detail within the sand.
Presented in black and white, the photograph highlights form, contrast, and repetition, turning a fleeting natural pattern into a striking visual study in the style of Edward Weston. The strong lines and subtle tonal range give the image a refined, minimalist presence, making it particularly effective as a fine art print for contemporary interiors.
Our photographer has chosen an unusual Hahnemühle German Etching paper specifically for its sand-like surface texture. The print is available in a strictly limited edition in three sizes, framed in Black or Oak with a highly effective ivory mount. It is also available unframed.
